An ongoing battle to free suspected wrongly imprisoned death-row inmate Troy Davis has kept the anti-death penalty community busy. Last night another protest was held on the steps of the Georgia Capitol protesting the final decision to execute Davis. It was one of the biggest turnouts of supporters yet.

Daryl Hunt was convicted of murder and rape in 1985 in North Carolina and spent 19 years in prison before being freed and exonerated based on DNA evidence. No physical evidence was collected in the Troy Davis case. He was convicted on the basis of nine eyewitnesses testimony, seven of whom have since recanted. He spoke Thursday at the Troy Davis rally.
