Top 10: Songs for staying home
November 30th, 2007 by Wade Tatangelo in NewsBeen a long, busy week: visited a nonprofit Monday for our upcoming holiday guide issue; Tuesday found me at USF listening to Chuck D threaten to kick a cracker’s ass; and Wednesday I attempted to drink with Republicans in St. Pete for next week’s Bar Tab column.
I spent Thursday and today chained to my desk transcribing interviews, crafting my upcoming Avett Brothers feature, and building that beast Music Week. Yeah, I know, there are tougher ways to make a buck, but I’m spent.
Usually I do my Bar Tab and concert review over the weekend. But not this week. The former has been turned in, and the latter ain’t running next issue. So here’s a Top 10 that speaks to me laying low — and relaxing with a couple of nice bottles of wine.

drkptt: Nice. Those two titles got me thinking about Paul Thorn’s “Burns Down the Trailer Park” and the possibility of an upcoming Top 10 Trailer Park tally.
BB: I’ll keep that in mind — maybe something on the eve of the primary. Considering the bought and paid for Hilary Clinton will likely get the Donkey nom, I might be forced to join you in choosing a GOPer for prez. Damn, I can’t believe I just typed that!
