Radiohead to play Tampa

There’s no dates or venues yet, but Radiohead has confirmed the cities for its North American summer tour. The first leg will come prior to the band’s summer European jaunt, which begins June 6 in Dublin, while the second leg will start after the European dates end July 8 in Berlin.
Tampa is listed along with Miami and Atlanta.
Help me out here, but to the best of my knowledge this show will mark Radiohead’s Tampa Bay debut, right?

I saw them back in 2001 in Jersey City, NJ about 3 weeks before 9/11. It was an awesome show with the NY skyline behind the stage. It’s eerie thinking back to that again. I would love to see them do their new songs.

Either The Forum or Ford Amphitheatre. The latter perhaps more likely considering Radiohead’s last Florida show was a couple years back at the similarly-designed amphitheater in West Palm Beach.

they also opened for REM in 1995 in st pete while they (REM) were touring for Monster. radiohead blew a very flaccid REM out of the water.

Incredible live. I can only hope they put on one half the show as they did in West Palm in 03′ and in Toronto in 06′. Super Bowl, Gasparilla, Radiohead!! in 08′. It’s a great year to live in Tampa!
