Landreth, Soul Rebels and more at Heatwave

Slide guitar master Sonny Landreth causing jaws to drop at Tropical Heatwave Saturday on the El Pasaje Plaza/Louisiana Stage. Creative Loafing cover girl Amanda Shaw performed on the same stage earlier in the day. For my review/photos of her set click here.
Landreth performed numbers like the spectacular backwoods space jam “The Milk Way Home” from his excellent, new album From the Reach.
The guitar virtuoso held the crowd spellbound with a closing jam that featured a succession of red hot solos.
