I like the idea of a multi-act "Anti-Ticketmaster Tour" but it's unlikely. Pearl Jam, at the height of its popularity in the 1990s, did battle with Ticketmaster and it nearly cost the band its career. I'm sure other artists saw the fallout and decided Ticketmaster will remain in power unless it's deemed a monopoly by the gov't. Alas, that's also unlikely. From Wikipedia:
"Ticketmaster is the subject of frequent complaints in the blogosphere and print media due to high ticket service charges.[citation needed] Notably, in the 1990s, Pearl Jam brought a lawsuit alleging that Ticketmaster is a monopoly, whose anticompetitive practices allow markup prices of more than 30%. Ticketmaster was found to be not guilty of violating antitrust law.[citation needed]."

girl, i could on and on about those bastards... like the one time i called (and got on the phone) the person in changed of ticketmaster's southeast region. i was bitching about an extra $1 they added on because i was in florida buying a ticket for an "out of state" show. that trasaction required the ticketseller at the outlet (this is back in 1998) to "do more work". the extra work was putting in the state code for georgia instead of the one they normally put in for florida. that was a very fun call.
