Madonna should just get naked again

I’m so tired of Madonna. Is there anything pop’s greatest sexpot won’t do for a little cheap publicity? Her latest stunt finds her comparing John McCain to Adolf Hitler. Really, is that the best you can do, Madonna, to drum up interest for your “Sticky and Sweet” tour?
From the L.A. Times:
Madonna lumped the presumptive Republican presidential nominee into a video montage that includes Adolf Hitler and Robert Mugabe…
McCain’s image is in a video (for the aptly named song “Get Stupid”) that shows him, Hitler and Mugabe juxtaposed with shots of global warming and environmental and social destruction. When the song ends, more peaceful images of John Lennon, Al Gore, Mahatma Gandhi and Barack Obama are shown.
Makes me long for the good old days when Madonna got photographed being balled by Vanilla Ice or made out with pop tarts half her age in order to keep her name in the headlines. At 50, she could actually make a statement by showing off her naughty bits. Here’s to hoping her next stunt involves Playboy, or some straight-to-video soft core. Anything but politics, or “causes.” Stick to what ya know, Madonna.

Wade, the link to Madonna getting balled by Vanilla Ice doesn’t work.
And you’re right, Madonna comparing McCain to Hitler is stupid and offensive. We all know Bush is the real Hitler stand-in and McCain is more of a Mussolini type.

Sweet Blahg: Since returning from vacation I’ve been working at such a clip — we have our big ol’ Best of the Bay issue coming up — that it’s left me semi-retarded. Yeah, I thought you meant MMJ was last Saturday not this Saturday. I advanced the show in the Music Week that comes out tomorrow and have opted out of making the trek to Orlando because, to be quite honest, I need yet another Saturday night spent hunkered down. I think my esteemed coworker Leilani is attending. If we’re lucky, she’ll blog about it and make feel like a lazy ‘tard for not attending.

Madonna is a sad 50-year old woman who thinks that by becoming skeletal, she’ll somehow retain her youth. Oh, and her music lacks heart. Oh, and for someone who was soo free-minded, she certainly comes off as having a stick up her arse.
I will be at MMJ, of course. Way more worthy of my attention than Madonna. And they have honest to goodness talent, i.e., know how to put on a show and make it a glorious with true musicianship and without all the fluff.
