The Eagles to play Tampa
October 8th, 2008 by Wade Tatangelo in News
I’ve always felt the same way about The Eagles as The Dude. Too slick, too souless, too predictable. Other than Joe Walsh, I pretty much despise all of ‘em, especially that blowhard Don Henley.
However, I realize there are a couple people on the planet, and in Tampa Bay, who absolutely fucking love the Eagles and will be jazzed about learning the band is playing the St. Pete Times Forum Jan. 29. So much so, they’ll be willing to shell out such high prices for tickets that the amount isn’t even on the goddamn press release, which I have included in its entirety after the jump.

the tickets range from about $50 to about $150, plus service charges. throw in a few beers and an uber-high priced concert tshirt and two people will drop $400 to $500 for “good” seats. this band is not strapped for cash and lost all modern relevance long ago. please do not give them your money; who can afford it anyway?

you know, you can always eat & drink before you go to the concert and just enjoy the music for 50 bucks.
if you don’t want to go, don’t. but, don’t complain about those of us who DO want to go and don’t mind paying the money to see them. it’s not your business how i spend my money!
