Halloween songs that don’t suck
October 31st, 2008 by Wade Tatangelo in News
The horror holiday was significantly more stimulating when my teenage friends and I would spend the night vandalizing the streets of Northdale.
I still enjoy Halloween, though. And will be attending 13 Ugly Men’s kick ass costume party tonight.
Here are the songs I’ll be rocking while driving around this afternoon, trying to accessorize my last-minute costume.
My Halloween Mix CD
1. Halloween Head, Ryan Adams
2. Welcome to My Nightmare, Alice Cooper
3. Egg Man, Beastie Boys
4. Children of the Grave, Black Sabbath
5. I Put a Spell on You, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins
6. If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It), AC/DC
7. Zombie Zoo, Tom Petty
8. Psycho Killer, Talking Heads
9. Living After Midnight, Judas Priest
10. Werewolves of London, Warren Zevon

Wade,
That mix cd would become a coaster in my house quicker than a midget.
My thoughts are as follows, please review.
Stevie Wonder – Superstitious (wow this party got started fast)
Candy Man - the Willy Wonka soundtrack (you had me at hello)
Gnarls Barkley – The Boogie Monster (pretty hip dance party…)
Dracula - Medeski, Martin & Wood (hippest dance party in town!)
Weird Science - Oingo Bongo (this makes me think of Halloween… Chet, your grandparents)
Thriller – MJ (Cause it will rule your face every time!)
Nightmare on My Street - DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince (when I was a kid, I had to FF through this when going to sleep.)
Season Of The Witch – Donovan (this song is badass, buff said)
Ghostbusters Theme – Ray Parker Jr. (they hate that)
Roses are Free - Ween (there’s another band that does a great cover of this…)
The Talking Heads’ - Burning Down the House (only on the Detroit version)

Mind Playing Tricks on Me - Geto Boys
Frankenstein - Edgar Winter (there’s another band that does a great cover of this…)
Ghost - Phish

Phil:
Cruise by the office, it’s rocking. Beer, gumbo, candy, and plenty of music for squares.
