It's so true! I worked as a promoter of bands and DJs back when I lived in Detroit and New Orleans. The only reason I haven't done it since I moved to Tampa was that I had quite enough of that attitude from bands that claimed to want my help and then took every chance to crap on me when I gave it to them. They start to get recognized at clubs and at shows and next thing you know, they have a rider and want a tour bus. Ridiculous, I tell ya. I'm thankful that a lot of the bands I follow now are much more professional. They don't easily forget that if you're in a band as a your job, you have to treat it like a business and not just a vacation with instruments.
