Macca meets Colbert Wednesday night

Paul McCartney to Appear on ‘The Colbert Report’ on Wednesday, January 28 at 11:30 P.M. ET/PT
NEW YORK, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ — Music legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame musician Paul McCartney will appear as a guest on COMEDY CENTRAL’s Emmy(R) and Peabody(R) Award-winning “The Colbert Report” on Wednesday, January 28 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT. McCartney’s appearance will be his first and only scheduled U.S. late-night appearance in support of the new album, Electric Arguments, released under The Fireman alias used by McCartney and producer/musician Youth.
Other musicians who have previously appeared on the show include Neil Young, Tony Bennett, Willie Nelson, R.E.M., The Roots, John Legend, Barry Manilow, John Mellencamp, Crosby Stills and Nash, NAS, Toby Keith, Feist, Rush, Peter Frampton, Carole King and Elvis Costello.
“The Colbert Report” airs regularly Monday-Thursday at 11:30 p.m. following “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.” Repeat episodes air Monday-Thursday at 1:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. and Friday at 8:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. (all times ET/PT).

I can’t even imagine how Stephen is going to spin this one.
But Paul is usually a good sport, so seeing something besides an interview might be in the cards.

I adore Colbert and I put up with Paul. We’ll see how funny this gets. I’m sure Colbert has to walk that line between what’s funny and what’s down right cruel, especially considering everything in Paul’s life with his ex-wife’s newly amassed fortune.
