@Peter - Nice to meet you. I enjoyed your presentation. Hopefully you made some good connections here in FL.

@Matt - Thanks man. Yeah, and they say Austin is "weird," right?

Man, I wanted to go to this so badly...seemed like a such a great opportunity and I couldn't get the weekend off... The music business HAS changed so much in the past five years...radically...and I think it's great to see people pooling resources and know-how together like this to help each other out... Geographical factors aside, a sense of artistic community (as hippie-cheesy as that sounds) says a lot about a city... I lived in Phoenix two years and never saw any Homemade Music Symposium there... I saw a guy cut off another man's beard and eat it on a hot dog bun...but no Homemade Music Symposium... The desert does weird things to people... Great article by the way!

I had a great time, and it was a real pleasure to be part of it. I wish I had more time, there are so many little tips and tricks that people should know about!

Thanks a million, Hampton, and everyone!

Nice wrap up. The conference was fun, but missing from the crowd were the new and upcoming bands that needed the info we were giving away for free. Next year, it will be bigger and better. Thanks Joran.
