Who’s in your Final Four?

Sweet lord do I love this time of year. All day I’ve been getting e-mails about my prediction for the Final Four of the NCAA Basketball tourney. It kicks off tonight with our own Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University Rattlers taking on the vaunted Purple Eagles of Niagra. Should be a barn burner.
I’m in about 18 pools — by the way, I don’t plan on working for the next, oh, month or so — and have been turning to Deadspin for my tourney needs. Much like Ira Glass (and anyone writing about the media), I get a lot of my news from Stewart. And in a similar fashion, I’ve started veering away from ESPN to get my sports news from Deadspin. They may not get everything first, but they’ll get it, and once they do it’ll be a helluva lot funnier than whatever Skip Bayless has to say.
They’re previewing every game over there, so check it out if you’re interested in scouting out your picks. If you’re one of those people who choses games based on mascots, tonight’s contest should be an easy start. Purple Eagles? FAMU!

Gonzaga…did they make it in? If they didn’t, I’m fuming. If they did…Gonzaga. Some people choose by mascot, I choose by the team with a school name closest to that of a muppet. Call me old-fashioned.
