Food Issue 2007: The $20 Cookbook

June 14th, 2007 by max linsky in Food and Drink

Who’s hungry?

This year’s Food Issue has officially hit the stands, and boy is it tasty. We’ve whipped up a batch of recipes you can fix for under $20 — each one hand-delivered by a Suncoast chef. You’ll find everything from scrambled eggs to vichyssoise, beet ravioli to down-home meatloaf. Wondering what Derek Barnes, winner of last year’s Best New Restaurant award, buys at Sweetbay? We’ll tell you. Think Jose Martinez of Maison Blanche, last year’s Best Chef, can get five courses out of a measly 20 bucks? Our money’s on the master. Oh, and we’ll also prove that ketchup is good for more than French fries. We’ve even got another scrumptious dish from our hero, Jaden.

Got a recipe you’d like to share? Leave it in the comments or send us an e-mail at max at creativeloafing dot com and we’ll post ‘em. Eat up, folks.
