Cover Story Preview: 48 Hour Guerilla Film Competition
October 16th, 2007 by Cooper Levey-Baker in Arts, Film, News
For tomorrow’s CL cover story, I tracked a team of filmmakers — helmed by Jason Letkiewicz, above — trying to win this year’s 48 Hour Guerilla Film Competition. You’ll have to wait until tomorrow for all the details, but Letkiewicz has posted the final version of his crew’s production (titled Not Quite Half…) on YouTube, and has graciously allowed us the privelege of presenting it here.
The rules of the 48GFC are as follows: You have two days and whatever equipment you can scrounge up to write, shoot and edit a short film. You are randomly assigned a line of dialogue and a genre, and — this year, for the first time — all films have to include one particular action: Someone must take a drink and spit it out. Letkiewicz and his crew drew film noir as their genre and their line was “You are my ‘Riker.’ Engage.”
Without further ado, we present Not Quite Half…:
