Cue “Dark SIde of the Moon” at precisely 9:20 p.m. You’ll hear the lyrics ” .. when the sun is eclipsed by the moon … ” as the moon slips into total eclipse.
Very cool.

Shine on, man, shine on.
True story: I dragged my girlfriend outside at precisely the right time to see the eclipse. It was a beautiful, clear night but when I looked up the moon looked like normal, if not extra full and white. Confused, we figured we just weren’t in a suitable viewing location. That was Tuesday. Imagine my surprise when I found out I had the wrong day.
Adding insult to injury: It was completely overcast last night and we saw nothing. Damn celestial events!
