Orange Avenue gets freaked
May 2nd, 2008 by Justin Richards in NewsYesterday a group of about 70 anti-war, pro-worker May Day activists marched from Pioneer Park to the block of Orange Avenue between Fruitville Road and First Street, where they had planted orange barricades on the side of the road. They closed down Orange Avenue and proceeded to party, chanting “Whose streets? Our streets!”

The guy in the green is like, A djembe drum? Really? Why am I here?
Caution? To hell with caution. Caution’s for you and your SUV and your bank account and your yoga classes and shampoo.
What you can’t see are the cops, who everyone knows can’t climb traffic poles, barking up at him from the sidewalk.
Pro-war activism, it’s like, “You’re on a raw food diet? Well I’m on an all-ice cream sandwich and peanut butter diet,” and the second guy wins because his life is easier.
“President Bush, find yourself another home.”
Talk about degrading. Why don’t they just cuff him with one of those twistie ties they put on loaves of bread?
What would Marshall Mathers say? A badge and black sunglasses / is whack if you’re not the baddest.
