Our skulls are pure crystal

June 20th, 2008 by Justin Richards in Film, Underappreciated Video

Here’s the film we made to go with Amanda Schurr’s “Swede this movie” story. Our replication of the summer blockbuster Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which we shot and edited in just two days, proves just how easy it must have been to make that movie. Our version is almost exactly the same as the original.

We did learn a few things about making films, though. One thing is that being a director turns you into an asshole. But that’s only because no one ever does what you want them to, ever.

Another is that you shoot about 300 times more footage than you end up using. This is disappointing for everyone.

Anyway, we recommend watching the movie on full-screen mode on the YouTube page, because for some reason the video has a thick black border around it that makes the viewing area very tiny. We hope you enjoy the movie, but we’re not fools. Let us know why it sucks and what you would have done differently.

Edit: Special thanks to Elina, for the use of her car.
