Election Night — Where to party in Sarasota?

The Sarasota Democratic Party will be popping corks at Marina Jack starting at 7:30 p.m., with free food and a cash bar. From what I can tell, Christine Jennings, Keith Fitzgerald, and other Dem candidates will be there. (If not, let us know where they’ll be.)
There will also be a big shindig at Shakespeare’s English Pub (3550 S. Osprey Ave.) starting at 7 p.m. It’ll likely be mostly Dems, but I’m sure that Reps will be welcome if you can handle some teasing.
The Republican Party of Sarasota and Vern Buchanan will be just up the block at the Hyatt Regency, starting at 7 p.m.
Doug Holder will be at Valenti’s Intermezzo Lounge (1200 E. Venice Ave.) in Venice. Laura Benson will be glowering at everyone assembled at Horsefeathers. Tom Knight will be hanging with all his peeps at the Nokomis Elk’s Lodge. (Geez, is he trying to avoid people?) Nancy Detert will also be down south, at Crossroads American Grille (385 US-41 Bypass).
