Paul Player — I lived in NH while going to college so I know whereof you speak. It is an icy place in more ways than one. And I agree there are lots of pockets of backwards thinking … but when it comes right down to it, I always found that nearly everyone from leftie college professors to rightist, straightlaced “old-timers”, would shrug off other people’s choices with a “T’aint none of business!” I like that in a state. Interesting piece of writing. Personally I feel marriage should be a union between Who Cares and Who Cares! With that said, opponents of Ammend. 2 should use the proper channels (State Legislatures) to overturn a law, instead of name calling and critizing. Sometime soon the state of Florida and the Country will see the light. Until then, if you feel that moving to New Hampshire is the answer, then so do it. New Hampshire, the state’s biggest claim to fame is fictitious President Josiah Bartlet (from the TV show ‘West Wing’). You’ll miss the warm weather too, summer in NH is the first Tuesday in July, the rest of the time it’s freezing! And lastly, having grown up in New England, and still travel there from time to time, Becareful where you go in the ‘Live Free or Die’ state. You’ll still find big pockets of bigotry, racsism, and hatred in between the snow drifts!
