— I’ve been saying that we need a Lamborghini dealership here in Sarasota for yeeears, and the business community finally listens: 
“Prices start at nearly $200,000 and rise from there, depending on the model and the details the buyer desires. Ordering a Lamborghini with special features requires a $50,000 deposit.”

— Rep. Vern Buchanan might not be springing for a new Lamborghini anytime soon: Our Congressman “reported his net worth fell between $1.2 million and $56 million from 2007 to 2008, largely from the sale of auto dealerships and other assets as well as falling stock prices.” Between $1.2 and $56 million, huh? Good accounting skills there. Must be all that fiscal responsibility he got.

— Riverview High School is going vamoose, but Bob Plunkett points out two beautiful Sarasota School of Architecture homes that just hit the market.

— Proof that if MC Coolidge’s house ever burns down, it might be an inside job: She writes about her love (”lust” might be the better word) for firemen.

— Which brings us to Richard Swier’s most hilarious Red County post to date. Yep, Sarasota’s own Dan Savage is writing about anal sex, and the way it destroys civilizations. No, really. Swier invokes the Founding fricking Fathers to support his viewpoint (guess slavery’s cool too, huh, Richie?) and argues that it’s wrong of President Obama to commemorate the Stonewall riots (without a word about police violence against homosexuals, of course). By the way, to accompany the article, Swier has posted a photo of a demonstrator holding a sign that says, “Homosexuals are gay.” Excellent point, dude.
