The Basics: 2058 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota, 922-7855 [map it]
Signature drink(s): The tea bag
Most friendliest bartender(s): Mike and Bill
The Red Barn has been a Bee Ridge watering hole since 1964, when it was converted from a nursery (not sure if it was the kind that housed plants or children). A year ago, the tavern was renovated with an updated bar top and tap system for a better draft selection. Ten flat screen TVs, bowling and golf arcade games, poker machines, a dartboard, foosball and pool tables provide plenty of activities for your drunken playtime. Sometimes they utilize the big parking lot in the back for events like their Memorial Day Horseshoe Tournament. They tend to get a late night rush, most likely due to their package license, which allows them to sell take-aways till 2 a.m. That includes kegs, people!
