Fastrack was a local business that provided excellent service to many, many local people and I think it’s in really bad taste to photograph their “tombstome” along side another bike store that walked into what Fastrack had built. The closing of Fastrack cost 4 local people their jobs.
Shame on you.
While Fastrack was good, Ryder has built a great following under the new owners – last few years. Great customer service and folks who work there. You should give them a try, you might get suprised.
I’m quite stoked on Ryder bikes being opened in Fasttrack’s place. While I’m not entirely sure why anyone other than “local people” would be working in the shop, there were new locals that were brought on board Ryder’s incredibly friendly staff. One of the new apprentices working at Ryder had been turned down by every other shop in town just on the request of gaining experience (with no pay) and Ryder welcomed him with open arms. A friendly bike shop in Sarasota that was willing to help out an aspiring bike tech? I’d say that’s a +1 point Sarasota.
I went in to Fast Track on 4 different occasions. All 4 times some fake blonde woman sat behind the counter and never said hello, never ask if she could me find anything, and I don’t she even looked at me. In the last 2+ years I have bought 5 different bikes. They range a Trek EX Fuel 8 to single speed track bikes. All 5 were from Ryder because they understand costumer service. Fast Track was kind to one group of cyclist and thats it. We all know it. A small group of sissy roadies with their little padded shorts so thier $4000.00 bikes will feel comfy. Those idiots aren’t real riders, just posers. Fast Track and the posers got what they deserve.
PS To the customer with the first comment. The 4 people who lost their jobs should pissed at blondie not a photo. She lost their jobs, poor management.
I Have received good service at Ryder, friendly people work there, glad they now have a presence in Sarasota. Plus they have the best bike fitters in town, by far.

Ryder has been around for a long time and I personally prefer their welcoming staff over Fastrack’s any day.

Ryder is a wonderful bike shop. They’ll sell you a new bike or fix your old one without the attitude you get at some other local shops.
