Homicide: By the Numbers
May 14th, 2007 by Tara Servatius in Citizen ServatiusHomicide in Charlotte is no equal opportunity offender. Race and sex plays a big part in who will be a victim. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police just released this data on this year’s 26 homicide victims so far:
- Black Males, 14, 53.8%
- Black Females 3, 11.5%
- White Males, 3, 11.5%
- White Females, 1, 3.8%
- Hispanic Males, 4, 15.4%
- Hispanic Females, 1, 3.8%
- Asian Male, 0
- Asian Female, 0
- Other, 0
