Patients score a win
July 16th, 2008 by Karen Shugart in NewsDespite vehement opposition from doctors, the N.C. medical board has agreed to post malpractice decisions on its Web site. The catch? Only payouts more than $25,000 will be made public. The policy still has to go to the N.C. Rules Commission, but it’s an improvement over the current doctor profiles, which only showed board disciplinary actions.
