What’s up with our fascination with folks that do crazy things? Millionaire Steve Fossett perishes while trying to defy common sense and logic and we spend tax dollars going to pick him up. Interesting. Folks do not seem to be concerned when their money goes to clean up people lost to frivolous pursuits. I get the desire to do something that someone has never accomplished — just not the at all costs part, especially when it costs the taxpayers.
