Spare the rod?
October 10th, 2008 by Nsenga Burton in The N WordWhat’s up with parents today? They are acting more like children than adults. They are giving their children everything without requiring anything. Then we blame the kids for being spoiled ingrates. Perhaps we’re blaming the wrong folks. While I don’t believe in hitting children, spare the rod also speaks to discipline and responsibility. If we do not raise disciplined children that understand it is their responsibility to contribute to the family and society, then we will be a race of spoiled children.
