Tenacious D, Beastie Boys to visit CPCC?

Rumor has it that today from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Central Piedmont Community College (specifically on the Central campus between the Kratt and Giles buildings) some celebrity musicians might make a special appearance. These include the mock-rock duo Tenacious D, hip-hoppers the Beastie Boys and maybe even rocker gal Sheryl Crow. Again, it’s all unconfirmed, but it might be worth checking out.

We are over here and while there is a Rock the Vote tent setup, no Beasties so far. The word over here is that they will show up at 1:30.

A stage has been setup and it looks like Sheryl Crow is getting ready to play.
