Gov. Perdue in Charlotte for an energy summit

Wasn’t she just here? Like, two weeks ago? Glad to see Charlotte is on the governor’s mind.

N.C. Gov. Bev Perdue will return to Charlotte on Monday to participate in an energy summit organized by Duke Energy Corp., the Charlotte Chamber and Charlotte Regional Partnership.

The summit will feature working sessions designed to develop a program to attract energy companies to the region. The plan would be to create a nationally recognized “energy cluster” along the lines of Research Triangle Park near Raleigh.
