Midlifers Stand Up Tour stops by Alive tonight

July 2nd, 2009 by Anita Overcash in Arts

Many folks shudder at the thought of getting older. Old age means scary stuff like wrinkles, memory loss and other ailments and, worst of all, death. Luckily, we have comedians who find the aging process funny, rather than disturbing. The Midlifers Stand Up Tour, which stops by Alive in NoDa tonight, consists of four comedians — including Julie Scoggins, Ken Evans, Tony Boswell and Kevin Alderman — with four different views on life and being middle-aged in America. The show should have you laughing, but in any case it’s for a good cause, as proceeds go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For more information on The Midlifers Stand Up Tour, visit www.themidlifersstanduptour.com. 18 and up. $15. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Alive, 2909 N. Davidson St. 704-930-2200. www.matthewscomedyzone.com.
