Kids represent the long term future. Current workers represent the medium range future and short term future. I would argue that everyone is equally important so cut out the silly kid crap. I agree that the bloated government should be trimmed in all places. I would argue that we should remove 99% of the school higher ups before we start firing a single teacher. Maybe because it involves kids and children are our future. UH maybe because everywhere isn't losing jobs(look at the latest unemployment report released by the ESC). Also, if those in higher up positions in the school system who do less and get paid more took pay cuts. Layoffs would be largely unnecessary.
