Tagg, he’s it

Tagg Romney, son of robotic presidential candidate and hair products model Mitt Romney, was in town a couple of days ago to check out an offshoot of his Massachusetts wealth management firm, which will open soon in SouthPark. Let’s hope his insights into finances are better than his takes on Charlotte.
Romney told the daily paper that among the things he loves about Charlotte are the barbecue at Mac’s on South Boulevard (no problem there), “the Southern hospitality” (um, live here long enough and you’ll realize how sporadic that can be), and — get this — “the good schools and the love of sports.” Huh?
Maybe Tagg (no relation to Track and Trig Palin, according to informed sources) heard about the five or six good public schools left in Charlotte and thought their level of quality was spread through the whole system.
As for “love of sports,” the Bobcats can’t fill the arena to save their lives, attendance at NASCAR events is down substantially, and even though everyone and their uncle wants baseball Uptown, the supposed movers and shakers still haven’t been able to swing that. Granted, everyone loves the Panthers … except when it’s raining a wee bit, or when they’re losing at halftime, or when the moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars or whatever.
So, it seems that when it comes to having insight — as in, knowing not to strap your dog to the roof of your station wagon for a 12-hour trip — Tagg’s a real match for his old man. Here’s Tagg and Mitt performing their holiday act in which they spoon lasagna onto plates in unison.

Talk about your empty meaningless articles. This is a perfect example. This shows that people like grooms will go on the attack even at the drop of a hat. The next elections are over three years away and an attack on Mitts sun seems to be news worthy for this guy.
