Just how nuts will the far right get?

Bill Maher recently said that during the past 30 years, “Democrats have moved to the right, and the right has moved into a mental hospital.” Amen, brother. If we needed any more evidence that the far right in America has lost its collective mind, word has gotten out about a public meeting held June 30 as part of a healthcare “listening tour” by Rep. Mike Castle, a moderate Republican from Delaware. Rightwing crazies from that state turned out in force, and shouted about a laundry list of current ultra-conservative gripes and conspiracy theories. The atmosphere was like that of a lynch mob, at which the mobbers attacked Rep. Castle on the following “issues”:
“Socialized medicine” will bring down healthcare faster than the Twin Towers came down.
The cap-and-trade “tax” will destroy the American economy.
Greenhouse gas has nothing to do with global warming.
Global warming is just a “theory, like evolution.”
The swine flu virus was created at Fort Dix in order to force Americans to be infected with AIDS-infected vaccines made from “baby juice.”
And, finally, the right’s current weird obsession, President Obama is not a citizen of the United States.
This last issue practically turned the meeting into a riot, even though Obama has presented a digitally scanned image of his birth certificate that includes a raised seal and the signature stamp of Hawaii’s state registrar.

Most of the crowds points raised are valid. The swine flu one sounds like it came from Obama’s preacher. I know these points are troubling to the left but making fun of valid issues will not make them magically go away.
“Socialized medicine”- The medicare and madicade are ponzi schemes are set to implode in just 6 more years. Enacting socialized medicine would step in just in time to enroll 100 million more suckers into the ponzi scheme to keep it going a few more years. More suckers are the only way to keep ponzi schemes alive.
Cap and Tax – Other harmful items are out there but the government did not try to profit off of them. Mercury and sulfur and ozone stuff would be good examples. This is a money grab plain and simple.
Global warming- Those that believe in man made global warming must still believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny. Temperatures have been dropping for the last decade and yet we are still talking about this topic.
Obama citizenship – He may be a citizen but it looks like he might not be a natural born citizen. Look into how Obama got to pakistan in 1981, when it was illegal for americans to travel there and yet there he was.
Obama birth – A certificate of live birth is not equal to a birth certificate. The live birth record is not sufficient to prove citizenship.
Things like the facts confuse Grooms but hey thats his normal state of mind.

Frank Griffin- Please. President Obama is a natural born citizen. Get over it, he is our PRESIDENT. I mean it’s one thing to disagree about someones policies, but the Obama bashing for EVERY decision he makes is disgusting. We gave Bush 8 years, 8 long years to prove himself so can we please give Obama at least a year to work out some things before extreme, crazy conservatives(yes i said crazy because that woman is proof that medication may be necessary) condemn everything he says and does.

Prove it then!
Being a natural born citizen is a qualification for the job. He has never proved this so I am afraid this will dog him until he proves that he is or is removed from office. The main problem with this is how would we or could we unwind all the damage he has done so far.
I am sorry if the facts on the ground get in the way of clean and clear politics.
Can you think of a plausible explaination for him being in a country banned to US citizens while still maintaining his US citizenship?
When Obama makes a good decision I will let yea know. I think he has only done one or two minor positive things so far.

Actually, there have been plenty of television shows and media outlets who have shown his birth certificate.
But, Mr. Frank Griffin, can you explain to me how the economy, health care, the war, education, etc will be impacted by the fact that you have finally seen Obama’s birth certificate? So when you realize that he IS a natural born American Citizen, what will happen next? I’ll tell you what will happen. You and your extreme right-winged friends will then find ANOTHER trivial issue to question and harass the president about.
We need people in this country who are about action to build our economy back and get things rolling. If your main concern is about his birth certificate… I need for you to keep those trivial issues in your town hall meetings and move over and make way for the republicans and democrats who are interested in solving the many problems this country is in.

Quelyn08 you are adpoting the normal liberal game plan. Change the argument or question then answer your new so called improved question. I do not really care about the birth certificate. I think that he probably was born in the USA. I am concerned with how he was able to travel to Pakistan in 1981 when US citizens were banned from such travels. Obama was adopted in Indonesia and probably became an Indonesian citizen and that would have allowed the trip in question. The only problem is that would result in him not being a natural born citizen anymore. I am sorry if the facts on the ground are against Obama.
They did not showed a certificate of live birth which is not the same as an actual birth certificate but like I said I am not really interested in this point since he would have lost that status due to the Pakistan situation anyways.
If we have an illegal president there will be no balls rolling in the wrong direction which would be good. Sometime no action is better than wrong action.
So if you want to address my concerns, address the issue I am actually concerned about! Quit answering your own questions.

Hey, Quelyn08, drop your straw man and answer frank griffin’s other statements. Seriously, who cares about Obama’s birth stuff. I’ve followed it, and given up. Its not going to change anything. But you’ve ignored the other things he’s charged, and I expect because you can’t dispute them. Cap and Tax is not a way to fix any environmental problem, its a socialist way to assert control. Same with socialized medicine.
Here’s a statement that has just as much journalistic integrity as this article: “John Grooms is a flippin moron for quoting Bill Maher, quite possibly the second most entally defunct people in the country, after Keith Olbermann.”
(By the way, the Democrats have actually moved so far left they’re about to fall off the edge fo the earth.)
