The Family Research Council: Family values to hate by

October 27th, 2009 by John Grooms in Boomer with an Attitude

One of the biggest weasel nests in America can be found at the headquarters of the Family Research Council, a “religious right,” socially conservative group, originally formed by James Dobson of Focus On The Family, and designed to lobby for “traditional family values.” The group may have topped itself yesterday.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced the administration’s intent to “establish the nation’s first national resource center” to help communities that provide services to elderly LGBT citizens. The FRC immediately let it be known that Obama & Co. shouldn’t spend that money since, according to FRC, homosexual senior citizens probably don’t exist. Why not? Because “homosexual conduct” makes them die early.

From the FRC: “Given the risks of homosexual conduct, few of these people are likely to live long enough to become senior citizens! Yet once again, the Obama administration is rushing to reward a lifestyle that poses one of the greatest public health risks in America.”

And the FRC’s statement supports family values how? Hello?! It’s the 21st century — do these knotheads honestly think there are no LGBT folks in their families, even if it’s their extended families? You don’t even know where to begin to refute such blatant, willful ignorance and blind cultural hate. All I know is that I feel sorry for anyone in these guys’ families who’s even a little bit different.

So with the liberal takeover we have govt support of “alternative” families. Still financed by theft by taxation.

I dont support homosexuality. It’s a perversion. I want govt out of the family.

  2. Dan Says:

We are trying to stop tobacco and alcohol use (bad for your health), Obesity (bad for your health) and yet homosexuality (statically proven shortened lives) seems to be OK. I guess it must be OK for gay people to die early too.

  3. Lesley Says:

agree w/ these comments whih are well stated by Luke and Dan.

  4. Taylor Says:

Luke says he wants government out of the family, but yet he is against marriage equality?

    CONTRADICTION!

Luke, Dan and Lesley have all proven that they’re oblivious to homosexual issues. Heck, they probably think that a girl who’d been raped should be forced to keep the rapists child.

Dan: I’d love to see your statistics proving that homosexuality shortens lives. Impartial evidence only please. I’d also like to know your reasoning for throwing homosexuality into the same boat as smoking and drinking. Don’t threat about the last request, I know there wasn’t any reasoning involved. Oh, and learn how to spell ’statistically’ properly, it will make your argument have a little weight behind it.

Luke, if you want Government ‘out of the family’ then trying to ban homosexuality wouldn’t be on the table.

I love how these homophobic zealots use bizarre quotes to gain support. You do know they won’t be “teaching homosexuality in schools” don’t you? You do know that statement is a lie intended to drum up support from the stupid people out there? No, you three wouldn’t; you’re too stupid to realise.

Peter is part of the spelling police. I think when commenters begin to be paid for there posts is the time we need to start worrying about spelling. It’s hard to take Peter seriously when he is so up tight.

It apperas that gays do have shorter life spans and its no surprize with the kind of lifestyles they lead.

Dan’s comment was incredibly insightful. It was one of the best observations I have heard in a few weeks. Since the government has been given the right of way to stop people from doing harmful things and the gay life style has been proven to be harmful, what is there to stop the government from banning the gay life style for their own safety. I would not be for this but it is a natural consequence of current health nut path we are on.

Luke did not say gays cannot have families. He just wants government to have nothing at all to do with families either for or against any personal family issue.

BTW it’s lame to put words in peoples mouth Peter, especially when you jump from gay issues to the rape of a child.

TONY PERKINS IS A GREAT GUY. Thank you Tony for what you do against the dirt of the new agendas.

  9. Hank Says:

Thank you, Peter, for posting the only sane comments on this page.

  10. Luke2008 Says:

I dont care what gays do in their own homes, that’s their business. I’m against it still. I dont want my children thinking its an acceptable lifestyle because it’s perverse and disgusting. I think it’s similar to heteros having multiple partners, it’s a life shortening and pervese lifestyle.

However, I also dont think its the government’s job to try and stop them and promote “traditional” families either. That’s the traditional church’s job.

I’m against drug abuse, I dont use drugs. I’m also against the war on drugs, it’s an utter failure.

Govt tends to turn private vices and problems into public scourges.

I do think a girl who gets raped should keep the baby. It’s not the baby’s fault it was conceived in such a manner so why kill it? Give it up for adoption.

Frank Griffin: Don’t be so hard on a few spelling mistakes; you could use some spelling lessons yourself.
