Charlotte’s own DJ Technics spun an ass-load of wax at a recent edition of the nightlife event Pop Life — sponsored by Creative Loafing and The Sol Kitchen. If you missed it, don’ fret: Technics recorded his entire set and made available for music lovers online. Check, check it out: http://www.baltimoreclubtracks.com/djtechnicslive_at_poplife.mp3
Pop Life — the eclectic nightlife event produced by Creative Loafing and local entertainment company The Sol Kitchen — is changing venues.
The event — which boasted huge crowds every Wednesday — was being held at Loft 1523, but the decision was made to find a new location. Why? Well, it’s always good to keep things fresh.
Pop Life was previously held at Prevue in NoDa and enjoyed great success at that particular spot. But Charlotte is fickle and before anything gets old, it’s best to keep it moving. Thanks to Loft for all their hard work.
At any rate, stay tuned for an upcoming announcement about the new venue.

Join Creative Loafing and The Sol Kitchen as they party with a purpose at the July 16th edition of Pop Life.
We’ll be throwing a spotlight on local groups that are making a difference in the city — like the Urban League of Central Carolinas, Planned Parenthood Young Advocates, GenerationEngage and the Arts & Science Council — and tell you how you can get involved. Plus we’ll feature art, drink specials, cool people and an eclectic blend of music provided by Kitch and DJ Stacey Blackman.
