Pop Life moves

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

Pop Life — the eclectic nightlife event produced by Creative Loafing and local entertainment company The Sol Kitchen — is changing venues.

The event — which boasted huge crowds every Wednesday — was being held at Loft 1523, but the decision was made to find a new location. Why? Well, it’s always good to keep things fresh.

Pop Life was previously held at Prevue in NoDa and enjoyed great success at that particular spot. But Charlotte is fickle and before anything gets old, it’s best to keep it moving. Thanks to Loft for all their hard work.

At any rate, stay tuned for an upcoming announcement about the new venue.

The invasion of social networks has overcome us

Friday, March 14th, 2008

What was the world like before Facebook and MySpace? Probably like it was before we invaded Iraq like a chicken with its head cut off.

Well, we’re all up in the midst of that madness. If you’re on Facebook, look us up (Creative Loafing Charlotte). MySpace geeks can get at us at www.myspace.com/creativeloafingcharlotte.
