Where’s Bubbles the chimp?

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

Remember Bubbles? Before Michael Jackson had kids, he had a chimp. Fortunately, it wasn’t forced to live with Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother. Unfortunately for MJ’s kids, it’s off to grandma’s house they go.

Guess that’s not so bad, though — right? I mean, her kids turned out, um, yeah … it’s bad.

Though, Michael loved Katherine. She was reportedly one of the few people he stayed in touch within the large Jackson family.

Just keep Joe away from the kiddos, will you, Katherine? He might try to sell them on Craigslist or something.

With all the discussion surrounding the shocking death of Michael Jackson, people have wondered whatever happened to his beloved chimpanzee Bubbles. It turns out, the chimp is alive and well and monkeying around in a Florida primate sanctuary, PEOPLE has learned.

The 26-year old chimp, who lived with Jackson in the late 1980s, has spent the past four years at the Center For Great Apes, home to forty-two chimpanzees and orangutans.

“He’s a very sweet and nice chimp, he really is,” says sanctuary director Patti Ragan.

Jackson auction off, shows on

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

The anticipated auction of Michael Jackson items (that most of us couldn’t have afforded to purchase anyways) has been called off, after Jackson sued the auction company. The matter has been resolved and all of the items that were to be featured in the auction are being given back to Jackson. On a side note, in case you haven’t heard: Jackson will play 50 shows in London, England starting in July. Read more in the CNN article below.

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) — The controversial auction of Michael Jackson’s property from his Neverland ranch has been canceled, and all of the items will be returned to Jackson, the auction organizer said.

The singer sued the auction company last month, claiming he did not authorize the sale of items that were removed from Neverland after he sold the ranch.

“We resolved everything with Michael Jackson,” Julien’s Auctions owner Darren Julien said. “We came to a resolution that both sides are very happy with.”

Details of the settlement are confidential, Julien said.

The public can still “get a glimpse at Neverland and the life and career of Michael Jackson” because the items will remain on exhibit in Beverly Hills, California, until April 25, Julien said. The exhibition was a prelude to the planned auction.

After April 25, the items will go back to Jackson’s control, Julien said. (more…)

Thriller?

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

Creepy, creepy, creepy. And this is not even a Sarah Palin post. We can file this under: EWWW.

The New York Post reports that a N.J. business man is auctioning off Micheal Jackson’s size-28 Calvin Klein briefs on eBay today, with a reserve price of $1 million.

The briefs were confiscated in 2003 for a DNA sample during Jacko’s trial, and come sealed in an evidence bag wrapped with police tape.

Say it with me now: EWWWW!

If you have $1 million laying around, please don’t use it for this.
