Green Jellÿ in Charlotte!

Green Jellÿ (first known as Green Jellö, but Kraft Foods put an end to that) is coming to Charlotte and just in time for my birthday!! I know I’m dating myself but what the hell; I loved Green Jellÿ when they came out with Cereal Killer in 1993. If I had known that Rev. Maynard of Tool was the high-pitched voice of the little pigs in “Three Little Pigs,” I would have been absolutely obnoxious to my friends. As it was, the CD stayed in the portable CD player on the floor of my mom’s Buick for months. I doubt Maynard will be in Charlotte, but I’ll be singing “Not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin” just as loudly as ever.

Relive your high school days or discover a funny heavy metal band at Tremont Music Hall on July 17 at 8 p.m. Their lyrics are imaginative if not a little juvenile (“It’s poo-poo, poo-poo!”), but the musical composition is creative and extremely talented. And the costumes should be entertaining. Just for fun, tell the guys at the door, “Little pig, little pig, let me in!”

Nicely done! Funny and interesting. Loved the parentheses (sp?) work.
