Finally Democracy?

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

A new date has been set for the release of Guns N Roses long-awaited Chinese Democracy album.

On Nov. 23, the album will be available as a Best Buy exclusive. Yeah, I’ll believe it when I see it on the shelves.

Dr. Pepper must be panicking though - they said they’d give everyone in America a free can of soda if the album comes out in 2008.

David has been kicking around the underground soul music scene for more than a decade and has released 3 CDs on his own and through small record labels. He started out playing in clubs in Atlanta with his best friend India.Arie (you may have heard of her) before she blew up.

Recently David signed with Universal, and he’s set to drop his first major label release, Acey Ducey, on June 24.

For more, check out his MySpace page:  http://www.myspace.com/anthonydavid.

* Nine Inch Nails has released yet another song. “Discipline” is available as a free download at discipline.nin.com There’s also mention of something happening in two weeks - yet another album?

* Jane’s Addiction’s original lineup performed yesterday for the first time in 17 years. Wish I could have been there… They played “Mountain Song,” “Ocean Size” “Stop” and “Jane Says.” Rumors of a the reunion leading to a tour are of course running rampant… One can only hope they’ll continue to make new music, though Eric Avery recently released a solo album.
