Peach Pundit man sick and tired of people being sick and tired of racism

Guess who Randall’s angry at?
He’s angry at the victim, David Scott.

Before we all buy into the assumptions of simpletons like Rep. Scott, who never met any sympathy he didn’t take advantage of, let’s consider for a moment that maybe, just maybe, a supporter of Scott committed this vandalism under cover of night in order to create a scenario where the scary and non-existent “racists” could be blamed.
He’s sick and tired of people being sick and tired of racism and, gosh darnit, he’s not gonna take it anymore!

Yes, this Pete Randall character seems to hold the novel idea that anyone who complains of, decries or even acknowledges racism is, by definition, himself a racist!
Certainly, some folks are too quick to invoke the specter of racism with regard to bad behavior that can be more easily explained by ignorance, meanness or political intolerance.
But Randall’s reflexive attacks on anyone who so much as recognizes the continued existence of racism in the present-day South have been lowering the level of discourse on Peach Pundit for some time now.
A few months back, I said as much in a note to PP’s Erick Erickson. He didn’t respond, but has proven since then that his own views don’t seem to stray too far from Randall’s.
It’s sad that what had been the most vital and timely political website around has become, in too large a part, a forum for hate speech and right-wing bile.
